The cover is built from carbon fiber, with the inside face left clean so the layup is visible. The panel stays thin enough to keep the original silhouette.

Most owners do this at home and it stays reversible if you keep the originals, so the car can be returned to standard later. Degrease the factory cover first and press the covers on from the centre outwards. Allow 15-30 minutes for the pair.

The default clear coat is matte. The substitution is free — it only changes the lead time slightly on custom tints.

The mirror caps are handed, so check the marking inside each one before you start; fitting left and right the wrong way round is the one mistake people make.

The cartons are double-walled for export, because a loose pair is the fastest way to pick up edge chips. We have shipped this part family to more than thirty countries.

Care is straightforward: a ceramic or wax coat once a season keeps the clear coat slick. Avoid abrasive polishes — the clear coat handles UV and road salt, it is not a scratch-proof layer.
