The cover is built from carbon fiber, finished with a clear coat that resists yellowing in strong sun. Weave direction is matched left to right, which two covers bought separately rarely achieve.

The pair goes on in an afternoon at the mirror housing itself, so no drilling or bonding is needed. Give the surface a proper degrease and press the covers on from the centre outwards. A hair dryer helps in cold weather.

Shipped as matte. If you are matching an interior or a wrap, tell us and we confirm the clear coat before production starts.

Detailers usually ask us for a set with the weave rotated to match the bonnet vents; it is a small thing that reads well in close-up photos.

The packaging is built for a journey rather than a shelf — the shells are light, but the clear coat is what suffers if they are packed loose. Transit damage is replaced as soon as we see a photo.

There is nothing fussy about the upkeep: a ceramic or wax coat once a season keeps the clear coat slick. Avoid abrasive polishes — the clear coat handles UV and road salt, it is not a scratch-proof layer.

We work from the factory BMW 3 Series E92 M3 cover, so nothing has to be filed or trimmed. The paint underneath stays untouched.
