If the original covers on your BMW 3 Series F80 M3 are scuffed rather than cracked, keep them as spares and put the new set on straight away.

Both sides ship in the same carton: foam wrap, corner protection and a double-wall carton. Transit damage is replaced as soon as we see a photo.

Maintenance is minimal, and a rinse after winter salt pays for itself. Do not machine-polish the edges, where the clear coat is thinnest.

The mould is taken from the OE cover, so the clips and screw bosses sit in the factory positions. On this part the cover separates from the mirror assembly, which is what keeps the job simple.

The shell is laid up by hand in carbon fiber, cured in our own autoclave and finished with a UV-stable clear coat. Weave direction is matched left to right, which two covers bought separately rarely achieve.

You do not need a workshop for this on the BMW 3 Series F80 M3, so nothing structural is touched. Give the surface a proper degrease so the tape has a clean surface to key to. Dust under the tape is the usual cause of an edge lifting later.
